See Koperativa’s digital, web & social strategies across the Western Balkans

As a regional partner of the consortium leader WeGlobal, Koperativa plays a central role in the implementation of the EU-funded WeBalkans project—an ambitious strategic communication programme aimed at improving public understanding and support for the EU in the Western Balkans. The programme, implemented across Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, seeks to raise awareness about the EU’s values, policies, and tangible contributions to the region, particularly in light of ongoing enlargement and integration processes.

Strategic approach in digital communication

Koperativa leads the digital communication component of the programme, managing a team of
regional experts who bring deep insight into local contexts. Since 2024, our contribution has
been instrumental in enhancing the programme’s digital communication. We redesigned and
relaunched the entire content strategy of the WeBalkans website, ensuring alignment with the
EU’s strategic narrative while tailoring messaging for local audiences.

This included a full visual identity redesign and UI/UX revamp of the WeBalkans.eu platform,
resulting in a modern, intuitive, and user-centric digital environment that brings EU
opportunities, stories, and updates closer to Western Balkans citizens. Our team also handled
the technical implementation of the new platform, ensuring performance, multilingual
accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

Development and management of thematic campaigns

Our team of experts is also supporting the implementation of integrated communication campaigns. These campaigns translate the EU’s complex policy priorities—ranging from the Growth Plan to youth opportunities—into compelling, people-centric stories. From visual storytelling and motion content to interactive reels and multimedia features, we have produced and published over 1,000 digital assets and social media posts.

The WeBalkans campaigns align with the EU’s evolving strategic priorities, including countering disinformation and enhancing public diplomacy, and have been recognised for their emotional resonance, human storytelling, and creative execution.
