A vibrant celebration of EU values in Kosovo, combining events, engaging visuals, and a joyful message of unity and diversity.

In collaboration with the EU Office in Kosovo and the Ministry of European Integration, Koperativa conceptualized and executed the 2017 Europe Day celebrations across Kosovo. With a focus on diversity as a core European Union value, the campaign’s unique branding and event design reflected inclusion and unity.
The central celebration took place in downtown Prishtina, where we created the “EU Family Square”—a dynamic public space featuring wooden booths representing EU member states and institutions, offering citizens direct interaction with the European Union. A conceptual mural promoting education, the year’s theme, was also unveiled at the heart of the capital.

To expand outreach beyond Prishtina, we implemented events in smaller towns and non-majority communities throughout Kosovo. From classical concerts like the performance by the ARIADITA duo, to hands-on public activations, Koperativa handled all aspects of event management: from concept development and branding to logistics, video production, media promotion, and on-ground implementation.

Visual Identity
The visual identity of Europe Day 2017 was grounded in a cheerful and inclusive design approach, using symbols and colors that communicated both the spirit of celebration and the EU’s core values. The design featured a prominent use of stars—an iconic EU symbol—paired with a vibrant, multi-colored palette that echoed the diversity of the EU’s member states.
This vivid and playful aesthetic aimed to resonate with a broad audience, regardless of age or background, capturing attention and reinforcing the message of unity and diversity. The choice of colors reflected the joyful nature of the Europe Day events, while also visually representing the cultural richness and variety within the EU. The result was a cohesive visual experience that energized and unified all promotional materials across print, digital, and spatial design.
